When preparing for print high quality images must be used, the larger the better. They must be at least 300 dpi and in a CMYK format. Images are generally not scalable and therefore a professional program like Adobe Photoshop can manage your images for you.

When preparing for web, images must be small usually 72 dpi and sized in pixels. Different elements of your website will require precise sizing of the images to fit the different placement holders, such as Headers, Banners, Logo, Shopping Carts etc. A lot of images required for the web also need to have the backgrounds removed from them so the product stands alone as a single item.
